Model-based fringe projection II

The model-based fringe projection enables a number of other important applications besides the standard application, the three-dimensional determination of surface topography, see list below. This essential extension of the possible applications is achieved by the exact

quantitative consideration of the light propagation from the light source to the detector, i.e. in particular also within the object under investigation, can be realized on the basis of the radiative transfer equation or Maxwell´s equations.

  • Determination of the spatially resolved scattering and absorption coefficients (see picture: measurement at the wrist)
