Production measurement technology

Measurement methods that were originally developed for medicine can often be applied in industrial production, and vice versa. The alternation between these two worlds leads to unusual solutions and increases synergies through the multiple use of technologies.

The ILM's process measurement technology focuses on fast sensors for inline 3D shape measurement and roughness measurement as well as highly sensitive photothermal measurement devices for material analysis on surfaces and peripheral zones.

Examples of development

  • Confocal chromatic coded Snap-Shot 3D measurement
  • Digital Holography
  • MHz roughness sensor Photothermal edge zone analysis
  • Hyperspectral imaging
  • Model-based fringe projection
